SV2 is delighted to host Richard Rothstein, a Distinguished Fellow at the Economic Policy Institute, and author of The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America.
Mr. Rothstein will provide unique insight into historic structural conditions leading to racial housing and education segregation in the United States. In addition, he will discuss how the Coronavirus pandemic threatens to further increase the wealth and academic achievement gaps for Black and Hispanic families – and key considerations to support a more equitable and inclusive recovery.
The need for strategic social investments is greater than ever given the disruptions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and a heightened awareness of deep racial injustice. We invite you to join us and learn about this important historical context – which is essential to address today’s economic and education challenges and support effective solutions.

About Richard Rothstein:
Richard Rothstein is the author of THE COLOR OF LAW: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America. A Distinguished Fellow of the Economic Policy Institute, and a Senior Fellow (emeritus) at the Thurgood Marshall Institute of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
